At Lavender Ballroom Dance, we offer a range of services to meet your dancing needs. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, our professional instructors are here to help you achieve your dance goals.

Ballroom Basics
Ballroom Basics is a six-week session where we focus on two ballroom dances. By the end the goal is for you to feel comfortable dancing a full song in each dance. This is designed for absolute beginners who want to give ballroom dance a try as well as returning dancers who are brushing up on your basics. To reach that goal, along with in-class instruction, you will get handouts of the steps covered and a weekly email with YouTube links to that week’s steps. You will also be learning to lead or follow and starting to work on proper body movement and technique. No partner or previous dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn!
Healthy movement and correct basics will set you up to be comfortable at a social dance or be able to move to a competition studio. We cover a total of seven dances in Ballroom Basics, so every six weeks we change to a new pair, expanding your base of knowledge.

Summer Ballroom Lessons
Summer Ballroom Lessons are for folks with a busy schedule who want to give ballroom dance a try. In three sessions of an hour each, you will learn the basic steps for two ballroom dances as well as starting to understand leading and following. This is enough to look better than average on the dance floor at most weddings, class reunions, or cruise ship dances! To help you practice on your own time, you will also get handouts and links to YouTube videos for each step learned.
No partners or prior dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to try something new!

Private Lessons
Private lessons are your chance to work on exactly what you need. We can do wedding prep, whether you're the happy couple, parents, or part of the wedding party. We can knock rust off of old skills and add some polish. It's also a great place to start your dance journey without an audience.
